The Rhiat is the central continent (for gaming purposes) on the planet. It is located on the second planet of of the solar system, Uod, which by convention is reasonably similar to the Earth in the geological and astronomical sense. Both commoners and astronomers refer to the planet as Uod in a casual manner, just as we toss around the word "Earth".

Note that on the Rhiat map, polar north is to the upper right, meaning the map is displayed on a 45 degree angle. This means that eastern Argaevaligne is the most frigid of locations, while the Mindat Empire extends from savannah to semi-arid conditions. Vennosat exhibits Mediterrean climate, and heading upriver to Ramush and traditional Chlendi lands means a wetter environment rather than a pure temperature shift.
